In the 15 seconds it took to start this comment I’ve forgotten what the new name is – Soft something? Initech? My advice is this: if you are writing material for the purpose of securing business from a person who doesn’t understand developer culture, you Soft-whatever. Otherwise, stick with Misfit Geek. You have been a credit to the dev community and you should stake your claim on that legacy.

You will always be known as MSJoe to me! You never know if you’ll like something unless you try it. I know the feeling that you are describing. A free-spirited company like Mozilla experiencing growing pains and now Opera has swapped to webkit as their browser engine really makes their fight harder.

Sorry for the late reply. For your question “what price would Zend Studio have to be for you to justify buying it ?”

I’m not sure, the current promotion of 50% off is a pretty good price point. I’m not doing any large projects, or a lot of development for the time being so I need to keep costs down.
