IE 6 doesn’t live happily side by side with IE 7 or IE 8
To do compatibility testing of a web page I usually have to fire up a VPC and access the page from a browser instance inside that VPC (one VPC for IE6, another one for IE7, etc.)
Lately I’ve started using “SuperPreview”.
It plugs in to Expression Web and lets you choose what browser to preview your page in (IE 6/7/8, Firefox)

I wish we have that on VS to test our webforms/mvc apps.
Perhaps for VS2010??
This looks really handy .. It would also be nice if you could just install different versions of the browsers :/
I tried SuperPreview a few months ago and realized right away that it wasn’t going to be very useful to me until it actually allowed you to execute javascript as the browser. Has that changed or is it still just a static view of the page?
Can’t use IE7/8 if you only have IE6. Grrr!
There is, however, an unsanctioned package out there called the "Internet Explorer Collection" that installs IE 1.5 to 8 on your computer, each modified to stand-alone. It’s handy if you’re concerned about providing good legacy support. Still, I’d rather use something like SuperPreview. Were it up to me I’d drop support for IE6 anyway, I feel it has been long enough to draw the line for new apps that are public facing, and IE8 can already emulate IE7′s rendering through the integrated dev tools.
As a novice I like the browser that is the easiest to develop for, why would anyone develop something for IE 6. I think anyone how hasen’t upgraded by now should,
why woulden’t they?

The idea is nice but as long as this tool doesn’t execute JavaScript or even simple "hover-effects" (e.g. a:hover) its totally useless!
