I have this machine in my office that’s been sitting quietly under a desk for a long time.
I’d decided to re-purpose it for IE6 compatibility testing and since I had it configured to auto-update I need to re-install Windows XP.
It made me wonder how long it had been running there and whether or not there is a way to find out what the origional install date of Windows was.
It turns out that SystemInfo.exe does the trick !

Cool. Mine is 4/12/2008
Great that was helpful mine is 5/18/2008
.
That is not the date of system installed onto your computer. That is some other day – maybe the last sp-installation?
Do you know if there is an equivalent for XP Home edition? It seems my XP Home (SP3) box doesn’t have SystemInfo.exe on it.
I got a "ERROR: Provider load failure." when it tried to load my network card information
Thank you for the information about installing our window.
