but if you lack the courage to be insulting with your REAL name and email then you shouldn’t bother. BTW – I DON’T hate Google, but it’s nice to see that occational bit of press that isn’t anti-ANYTHINGMSFT.Yes, Chrome is mildy interesting, even if the EULA says that Google can do what ever they want with ANYTHING hat passes through it. Yawn !
I think Chrome has some real potential, but just like you said it’s a major hog right now.That’s why I’ll stick with IE.It loads fast, and does exactly what I need it to do without a bunch of add-ons, plugins, scripts, and other random nonsense that pisses me off.Like I said on Zeldman, if Chrome can render pages as fast as Google can spit them out, then I shall be intrigued.Oh, and I hear ya, people who leave ruthless comments and do not have the balls to list their contact info to actually "communicate" about their thoughts deserve to be mildly electrocuted.
Josh – you and I have sometimes disagreed – but you have always had the guts to identify yourself and I really respect that !
Chrome needs work. Right now it has bugs that even IE doesn’t have anymore. The table rendering almost seems random, and not all the css is behaving properly.It may be better than IE in a few ways, but it likes to grab too much memory (something going on in the background Googs?) and it needs the beta kicked out of it.Then there is the question of….. why chrome?Firefox is still far superior to IE or chrome, and Google could have just as easy put snoop and hooks in Firefox plug-ins, but then we would have know what they put in, and why.Suspicious?Me?
Why use Chrome when FireFox or IE is fine, for me I don’t have a reason to switch…other than to make sure our site works on in it for the fickle "Boo MS yay Google" club. It does not do anything new, fresh or really exciting. IE/FireFox vs Chrome reminds me of Google vs Cuil, there’s just that feeling of there’s nothing new here, what’s the point.
